When you log in to the 7 Speed Reading system, you will be asked for your user name or email address, and a password. In some cases, the 7 Speed Reading support staff or your designated Administrator will set up your user account and provide you with a user ID (either a temporary user name, or your e-mail address) and temporary password.
Once you have logged in to the system, you can change your account information at any time by editing your profile. To edit your profile, use this option:
Click on your profile picture at the top right-hand corner of the 7 Speed Reading window, and then click on the "Profile" button. (Note: If this is the first time you have logged on or if you haven't uploaded a personal profile picture, you will see a grey profile picture icon to the right of your user name.)


Make your edits and changes, and then click "Save" to update your profile, or "Cancel" to keep the current account information in place.
PhotoYou can use any image stored on your computer as your profile photo. Click on the "Change Photo" icon to search for the image file, select the file, and then click "Open" to pull the image into the crop box window.
Your profile photo will need to fit in the140x140 pixel window that displays the profile photo, and your original image needs to be that size or larger. When you open the image file, you will be able to adjust what appears in the 140x140 space by moving and resizing the crop box. Drag the crop box and use the handles on each corner to adjust what appears in the display area. When you're satisfied with the picture, click "Save" to use that image as your profile photo.
First/Last NameYou can edit these fields at any time. One or both of these names can be displayed as the username if you choose that option. The system does not edit or verify these fields.
UsernameYou can change your username at any time. You can also choose any username you want, with one exception: if you are a member of a user group, then the system will check to see if that username already exists. Each user account within a user group must have a different username.
You can use either your username or your email address to log in to the system.
EmailYou can change this field if you need to, but you should only use an email address that you have access to, so that you do not miss any important messages or notifications. In addition, if you are part of a user group, you cannot enter an email address that belongs to another user.
Display NameUse this dropdown to select the way your name is shown on the screen. You can use your first name, your last name, or both (first name first, or last name first). You can also choose to use your username for the display.
PasswordYou can change your password at any time. If you forget your password, click the "Reset Password" button on the sign in screen, or contact your designated Administrator or the 7 Speed Reading support staff. You will receive a new temporary password in an email message, sent to the email account that is associated with your user account. When you use this temporary password to log in to the system, you will be prompted to create a new password. You will also be prompted to change your password the first time you log in to the system.
