The Self-Experiment: What Speed Reading Software To Use?

Categories: Speed Reading, Speed Reading Research |

Browsing the internet… the 7 Speed Reading Team bumped into a very interesting website about speed reading software experiment.

Here is The Crab & The Medicine Owner, Max, criteria on what speed reading software is best to use when you are planning to learn how to speed read.

In the last post of my first speed-reading self-experiment, I already anticipated that I would perform one more speed-reading experiment using a dedicated software for a longer period of time. This is the first post dedicated to it.

First of all, I needed to find an appropriate software tool. Not having any idea which products exist for this purpose, I perfomed an online research. First, I looked for the most easy to find speed-reading software tools. Then I started searching for tests and reviews of these products.

I didn’t find that many reviews, but based on what I found I decided that “7 Speed Reading” from eReflect would be my tool of choice. I read some more info on the website and decided to buy the product. It’s not exactly for free, but $ 79.95 seemed an acceptable price for a professional product.

I installed the software on my PC and started with the first exercises. The software provides a lot of additional information, as well as exercises for warming up and relaxing the eyes. My first impressions are very good.

The regular training with this tool will be started after my summer holidays, in order to avoid longer interruptions and be able to measure the effects regularly. Therefore, for the next month there won’t be any update regarding this issue. But this does not mean that there will be no update at all. During the last month I started another self-experiment I will write about shortly:

Foreign language learning using memory-techniques!

Please post your ideas and requests for future self-experiments!

Hope to see you soon!

Best regards,
Max

Thank you Max for this write up!
